Pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks of parenthood are deeply transformative experiences. They can also feel overwhelming—especially when navigating a complex healthcare system, conflicting advice, or physical and emotional changes. As a birth doula, I offer nonjudgmental support, comfort, and evidence-based information to help you feel grounded and empowered through it all.

My role is to support you—emotionally, physically, and informationally—so you can move through your birth and postpartum journey feeling confident, respected, and heard.

Why Work with a Birth Doula?

Research shows that the presence of a birth doula can lead to:

  • A more supported and satisfying birth experience

  • Reduced fear and anxiety before and during labour

  • More confident and involved partners

  • Greater likelihood of feeling listened to and respected in birth settings

  • Reduced need for early epidurals and unnecessary interventions

  • Shorter labour times

  • Improved early postpartum experiences, including sleep and feeding

  • Increased confidence in newborn care

Many parents also find reassurance knowing they have someone to call—even in the middle of the night—to help them feel grounded, remind them of coping strategies, and offer practical support when early labour begins.

Virtual Doula Support for Modern Families

Due to my clinical schedule, I am not currently offering in-person birth support. However, I am thrilled to offer virtual doula care for families who still want hands-on guidance, compassionate presence, and tailored preparation from the comfort of their own homes.

Virtual doula care is a flexible, supportive option—especially for those in rural areas, navigating hospital visitor restrictions, or simply looking for one-on-one birth prep rooted in respect and inclusivity. My virtual support helps you and your partner feel ready, supported, and informed for both labour and postpartum.

Virtual Doula Package Includes:

  • Three Private Virtual Birth Preparation Sessions (1–2 hours each):

    • Understanding the signs & stages of labour

    • Exploring medical interventions & crafting your birth preferences

    • Comfort measures, coping techniques & partner support strategies

  • One Virtual Postpartum Body Prep Session (typically around 30–32 weeks):

    • Stretches to ease upper back and neck tension

    • Preventing and managing "mother’s wrist"

    • Reconnecting with your pelvic floor gently and safely

  • Ongoing Virtual Support:

    • Group chat (text/WhatsApp) for continuous access to your doula from 38 weeks through two weeks postpartum

    • On-call video/phone support during labour and birth

    • Answers to your questions, reassurance when things feel uncertain, and continuous encouragement every step of the way

Whether it’s your first baby or your fourth, I would be honoured to walk alongside you in this journey. My approach is inclusive, body-affirming, and rooted in trust—there are no "shoulds" here, only support.
