Sexual Health Education

As a certified Sexual Health Educator, I’m passionate about providing inclusive, evidence-informed, and empowering education to individuals, families, and community groups. My approach follows the Canadian Guidelines for Sexual Health Education (Public Health Agency of Canada), which aim to improve health outcomes like self-esteem, safety, and pleasure—while reducing risks such as unintended pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and unhealthy relationships.

I offer sexual health education that is:

• Rooted in harm reduction and prevention

• Accurate, current, and evidence-based

• Culturally sensitive and inclusive of all genders, sexualities, abilities, and backgrounds

• Age-appropriate and experience-aware

• Interactive, engaging, and skill-building (when appropriate)

• Supportive of open dialogue between youth, families, and caregivers

• Designed to foster confidence, autonomy, and respectful relationships

I offer workshops and one-on-one education tailored to the needs of individuals, families, schools, and community organizations. Topics can include:

• Sexuality in early childhood

• Puberty and adolescence

• “How do I talk to my child about sex?” (Parent/caregiver sessions)

• Sex, sexuality, and identity after baby

• Sexuality and disability

• Navigating relationships, boundaries, and consent

• Protective behaviours and safety planning

• Inclusive, body-positive education for diverse bodies and identities
