Webster’s Technique
The Webster’s Technique combines chiropractic sacral analysis with specific adjustment to the sacrum and soft tissue therapy. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral restrictions/ SI joint dysfunction. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated.
Treatment is traditionally performed using a combination of pregnancy pillows and a customized table to allow for the shape of the growing belly throughout the pregnancy. The pillows allow the pregnant person to lay face down and have their belly supported. If an individual is not able to lay down, the treatment can comfortably preformed in a seated position.
Webster’s Technique is used throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period to help minimize and reduce many of the aches and pains associated with these times. Many individuals find relief from round ligament pain and symphysis pubis dysfunction following treatment.
